There is something beautiful about starting a new year. It's a chance to evaluate the past year, and to dream ahead about the year to come. A chance to think about successes and failures, losses and gains, happy moments and sad moments, firsts and lasts. A chance to make a list of all of the things you'd like to accomplish throughout the coming months.
As I reflected on 2015, I realized that it was a year of learning, adjustments and growth. Continuing to learn how to be married, adjusting to job/routine changes and growing in more ways than one. And, it's always humbling and exciting to look back at all you did in the past year.
We adopted a puppy, had 4 different jobs, and celebrated one year of marriage.
We traveled to Nashville, Denton, Birmingham, Atlanta, Lafayette, New Orleans, Ashland City, Austin, and Dallas.
I shot my first gun.
We stood in 3 of our best friends' weddings.
I lost my grandfather.
I saw Taylor Swift's 1989 World Tour and Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella.
As I look toward the year ahead, I came up with my New Year's Resolutions. My list includes:
Read 20 books.
Try 24 new recipes.
Make a website.
Blog at least once a month.
Develop a health routine.
I'm really excited to get started on these and also to see what the Lord has in store for my husband and I this year.
